Dedication to Safety
Because Dr. Sorokin performs the majority of his surgeries in our Cherry Hill surgical suite, we have taken care to offer practically every safety feature possible. No expense has been spared in making sure that all equipment meets or exceeds all nationally accepted safety standards. Independent certification by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities, Incorporated (or AAAASF) demonstrates that this is a facility that adheres to stringent, nationally recognized standards.
Anesthesia at Delaware Valley Plastic Surgery is provided by board-certified anesthesiologists. Dr. Sorokin feels that the method used in many cosmetic facilities of having a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA) provide anesthesia under the surgeon's direction is simply not as ideal. Dr. Sorokin is a plastic surgeon, not an anesthesiologist. Thus, he has a physician anesthesiologist who specializes in this aspect of your care. While this certainly may be a more costly way to provide anesthesia, in a potential emergency there is a physician fully trained and dedicated to your safety. Emergencies can still occur; however, this is one extra level of safety that we believe in strongly.
Attention to Care & Comfort
Our dedicated recovery room is spacious and comfortable. Registered nurses attend to every patient need and control pain as needed. Nurses who specialize in plastic surgery procedures and are knowledgeable about your procedures can start your relaxed, safe, recovery. At many hospitals, "cosmetic surgery patients" are treated as second-class citizens compared to the "routine sick surgical" patients. This is exactly the opposite of the care provided by a team of dedicated cosmetic registered nurses at Delaware Valley Plastic Surgery.
In addition to our surgical facility, we have multiple comfortable exam rooms and a spacious waiting area. Family members are kept comfortable while all preoperative and postoperative care can be provided in one location.
On-Site Medical Spa
A final mention should be made of the medical spa and skincare program at Delaware Valley Plastic Surgery. We offer medical spa services under the direction of Dr. Sorokin with an aesthetician providing microdermabrasion, peels, facials, and hair removal.
Accessible Location
We are located approximately 10 miles from Philadelphia on Route 70 (Marlton Pike East) in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The intersection with Route 70 and New Jersey Highway 295 is seconds away from the office. This location was chosen as it is extremely easy to access from all areas of New Jersey as well as to our Philadelphia patients.
